SEXUAL HEALTH

Prioritizing Your Sexual Health

Sexual health plays a vital role in both mental and physical well-being for men and women. Despite its importance, it’s often a difficult topic to discuss and may be overlooked. To make care more accessible, we offer both synchronous (audio/visual) and asynchronous (no direct interaction with a provider) options to diagnose and treat common sexual health concerns, such as erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation—issues that are more common than you might think, across all age groups.

You are not alone. Our experienced providers are here to help create personalized solutions that go beyond what typical online platforms offer.

Convenient and Discreet Options

A face-to-face visit is not required for our sexual health services. You can schedule a video visit, phone call, or choose the fully asynchronous option. For asynchronous visits, simply book an appointment for any available day or time. After receiving and completing an intake form, select the option for no direct interaction if preferred. We will review your forms and communicate with you via our secure messaging portal to ensure your needs are met discreetly and effectively.

MALE SEXUAL DYSFUNCTION

Are you struggling with achieving or maintaining an erection?

You're not alone. By the age of 50, nearly 50% of men experience some degree of erectile dysfunction (ED). Common causes include:

  • Stress or anxiety

  • Low testosterone levels

  • Certain medications

  • Past surgeries or treatments, such as prostate cancer surgery

  • Atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries)

TADALAFIL

Tadalafil (CIALIS) is a FDA-approved medication commonly used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) and is part of the phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE5) inhibitor class. It works by relaxing penile vascular smooth muscle, improving blood flow to the penis, and facilitating erections during sexual activity.

Tadalafil can be taken as needed or daily, with or without food, offering flexibility to suit individual preferences. It is also used off-label for other conditions, such as premature ejaculation. This medication may be combined with others for enhanced effectiveness, as directed by a healthcare provider.

SILDENAFIL

Sildenafil (VIAGRA) is an FDA-approved medication for treating erectile dysfunction. It is also used off-label to address premature ejaculation and female sexual arousal disorder.

Belonging to the class of medications known as phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE5) inhibitors, Sildenafil works by relaxing vascular smooth muscle in the penis, promoting blood flow and enabling an erection. For best results, it should be taken on an empty stomach 1–2 hours before sexual activity.

Sildenafil is not intended for daily use but can be tailored in various forms or combined with other medications for enhanced effectiveness. Always follow your provider's guidance for safe and optimal use.

PT 141

PT-141 (Bremelanotide) is a synthetic peptide that activates melanocortin receptors, primarily targeting the central nervous system. Research indicates that systemic use in men, with or without erectile dysfunction, can enhance arousal and erectile response.

PT-141, also known as bremelanotide, is administered as a subcutaneous injection 30–60 minutes prior to sexual activity and can be combined with other medications to enhance its effects. It is also available as a nasal spray.

WOMEN SEXUAL DYSFUNCTION

Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder (HSDD)

HSDD is a condition characterized by a persistent lack of sexual desire or fantasies, causing emotional distress and relationship challenges.

Symptoms:

  • Reduced or absent sexual fantasies

  • Lack of responsiveness to sexual stimulation

  • Loss of interest in initiating or maintaining sexual activity

  • Avoidance of sexual situations

Causes:
HSDD can result from hormonal, neurobiological, or psychosocial factors, often linked to imbalances in brain activity affecting sexual desire.

Treatments:
Options include psychotherapy, medications like FDA-approved Flibanserin for premenopausal women, and lifestyle changes.

Impact:
HSDD may affect emotional well-being, body image, self-confidence, and interpersonal relationships.

OPTIONS:

FLIBANSERIN (ADDYI) is an FDA-approved medication specifically designed to treat hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD) in premenopausal women. Unlike medications for physical sexual dysfunction, Flibanserin works by targeting neurotransmitters in the brain, such as serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine, to help restore balance and improve sexual desire.

Flibanserin is taken daily as a tablet and is most effective when used under consistent medical guidance. It is not suitable for everyone and may have side effects, so a healthcare provider's evaluation is essential before starting treatment.

Bremelanotide (Vyleesi, PT-141) is a synthetic peptide that activates melanocortin receptors, primarily targeting the central nervous system. Research indicates that systemic use in men, with or without erectile dysfunction, can enhance arousal and erectile response.

This peptide, also known as Bremelanotide, is FDA-approved for treating hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD) in premenopausal women, provided the condition is not caused by medical, psychiatric, or relationship issues. PT-141 is administered as a subcutaneous injection 30–60 minutes prior to sexual activity and can be combined with other medications to enhance its effects. Bremelanotide is also available as a nasal spray.
